Bohemian Grover Eastwood Steals Show

Whose throat do you think Clint Eastwood was symbolically slitting? Eastwood slipped up and used the old international hand signal and Masonic sign of sacrifice. In the midst of the most bizarre convention speech ever given, Eastwood demonstrated this sign.

The site Conspirazzi is to be credited with noting, "Clint Eastwood gives the sign of the second veil before he dies at the end of Gran Torino. Clint is a confirmed member of Bohemian Grove. I think it’s elementary that he would be a member of the brotherhood."

By the way, don't attempt to debunk this gesture being an invention, not of the actor, but of the director of Gran Torino. After all, the lead actor, the director, and the first producer of Gran Torino is Clint Eastwood.

It has long been known that Clint Eastwood is a member of the secret power club, mostly made up of wealthy Republicans, called Bohemian Grove.

Bohemian Grove has had many exposes of it, including that "in the 80's it was leaked that the Grove was what allowed for the inception of the atom bomb, eventually becoming known as the “Manhattan Project.” Partially detailed in a 1986 movie baring the same title and made by director, Marshall Brickman, also an admitted Bohemian."

Before his appearance, some conservatives like Drudge and Ann Coulter would have you think that Eastwood was riding in on a horse to save the Republican Party.

But what happened revealed a bit more than anyone could have predicted.
Is Eastwood's membership in jeopardy due to his performance at the Republican Convention? Certainly, people were not talking about Romney after that gathering, but of Eastwood.

BTW, at the end of the day, the fastest growing meme across the world of Twitter and the Interweb was "Eastwooding." It involved taking a photograph of yourself in a discussion with an empty chair.

2042: LOOM

 by Loren Coleman ©2012

People wear raincoats even when its not raining. It's dreary. Disease is everywhere. Fashion hasn't changed. There are no rayguns; there's just old-fashioned metal handguns. People still use midcentury modern Navy chairs in lab cafes. Transport units are dirty. It's another "Ridley Scott Presents" view of our future.

Luke Scott's melodrama set in the year 2042 is a 20 minute film that will have you thinking long after it is finished. Loom is being disseminated for free throughout the electronic world.

There is an interesting feeling in the word, "disseminating," and that's why I used it. Just as the engineers in Prometheus seed the Earth with genetic material, you get the sense, as you are watching this film, that some of these images are being seeded.

Loom's director Luke Scott is the the son of Blade Runner director Ridley Scott and the nephew of Tony Scott. This short, which stars Giovanni Ribisi as a lonely, bright, quiet lab gen tech in a future society characterized by human misery, openly owes a stylistic nod to Blade Runner.

The film is being used as a way to showcase a new technology. Luke Scott in cooperation with RED Camera presents Loom, "a film shot completely in 4K format. The film was originally intended to help showcase the prototype REDray 3D laser player. The film was constructed for 3D, the film needed to push the limits of the cameras exposure sensitivity and color range and 4K projection. Visually the film is unmatched to date in it's use of RED's new technology."

It's 4K glory can be seen via this incredibly large web version. Also here's a Higher Res version

The film is shown completely in the HD version posted above. (People at work and youngsters: It has a couple gross scenes of engineered raw meat, which I found more disturbing that the incidental flashes of nudity because the young woman was not completely dressed.)

(Thanks for the tip from P.H.)

P.S. It appears, by random and by coincidence, the first time I played Loom, immediately after the credits, I was shown a trailer for Branded (written and directed by Jamie Bradshaw and Aleksandr Dulerayn). Opening September 7th, Branded is about "unlocking the conspiracy" and seeing what is unseen. It is a remarkable trailer foretelling what might be a synchromystic hit.

Below are two different Branded trailers,
the first in Russian and the following one in English.

Pathmark Shooter Identified: Three Dead

A bridge name. A marked path. Another mass shooting.

Early on Friday, August 31, 2012, a man entered a Pathmark in Old Bridge, New Jersey, Route 9 near the Sayreville border, and began shooting. The shooting happened at about 4 a.m. inside a Pathmark grocery store in Old Bridge, a suburb about 25 miles from New York, Old Bridge Mayor Owen Henry told the media. The store was closed at the time and was scheduled to open at 6 a.m.

There are unconfirmed rumors that the shooter had on body armor and that he took hostages. Law enforcement has confirmed that three people have been killed, including the gunman. Workers at the store are saying that the shooter killed himself, and that he was an ex-Marine and a former employee of the store.

The New York Daily News gave this later, finalized update:

A heavily armed ex-Marine in camouflage gear gunned down two co-workers in a New Jersey supermarket rampage before killing himself early Friday, officials said.
The disgruntled worker returned to the Pathmark store around 4 a.m. and began blasting away with an AK-47 assault rifle at the skeleton staff, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan.
The irate employee squeezed off 16 shots from the rifle, killing an 18-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man — both of Old Bridge, said Kaplan.
He was carrying extra magazines of ammunition and a handgun when the unprovoked killings began, Kaplan said. The shooter worked the midnight shift stocking shelves in the store on Route 9, according to another employee.
The shooter and his two victims were all at work when the gunman left the building around 3:30 a.m., returning about 30 minutes later with murderous intent.
"The victims are Cristina LoBrutto, 18, and Bryan Breen, 24, both of Old Bridge," killed by an ex-Marine 23-year-old, reported the Asbury Park Press.

Ex-Marine Terence S. Tyler has been identified by Old Bridge Police as the gunman at an Old Bridge supermarket with Marine service records showing he was a rifleman. The 23 year old Tyler had worked at the Pathmark for about 2 weeks on the overnight shift with his two victims according to WABC TV.

Another Hollywood Suicide Leap: Brian Gerber

It's happened again. Hollywood has suffered another self-death.

LA Weekly has announced that Hollywood's 11th Hour producer Brian Gerber has died by suicide by propelling himself over a cliff. In many ways, the method of suicide copies Tony Scott's jump from a Hollywood area bridge a mere ten days ago.

Gerber's suicide was just confirmed in a post on his Facebook profile....
Another well-loved member of the L.A. film industry -- documentary producer and digital-tech pioneer Brian Gerber -- took his life this week by driving his car off the Angeles Crest Highway. (Ridley Scott's brother, producer Tony Scott, just jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge last week.)

According to Battalion Chief Ron Larriva of the L.A. County Fire Department, the LAPD and Sheriff's Department began searching Angeles Crest Highway for Gerber early this morning, after being informed by his family that he was distraught and thinking of running his car off a cliff in the area.

Around 7:30 a.m., Larriva says investigators found "a suicide note up on the rock" at mile marker 32, as well as a car that had plummeted 500 to 600 feet down the embankment into Angeles National Forest. "It must have happened late last night or early this morning," says Larriva.
Inside the vehicle was a fatally injured 41-year-old Los Angeles resident, says Sheriff's Lieutenant Angela Shepherd, although she's "not releasing any names."

Isaac Laughs

Hurricane Isaac penetrates New Orleans with more than a tickle, a giggle and a trickle.
One meaning of Isaac is "he will laugh."
So he may.
As it is above, so it shall be below.
Here you see Katrina above and Isaac below.
Hurricanes separated by seven years, to the day on August 29th,
are mirrors of each other.
Hurricane Isaac is pulling media attention from the Republican Convention of 2012, where various people, such as Governor Christie, are praising the man of many states, tax havens, and positions.
Ah, Governor Christie gives forth with a Masonic signal to the faithful, which he appears to be practicing for his speech tonight.

Meanwhile, Karl Rove (R), former Deputy Chief of Staff to former U.S. President George W. Bush engages, no doubt, in the five points of contact in the Masonic semi-hug with U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) on the floor before the start of the abbreviated first day of the Republican National Convention on August 27, 2012 in Tampa, Florida.

Cartoonists will note the turmoil that Isaac has brought to this political week.
But most of the imagery will be more about hurricane clouds than Republican ones.

The obviously juvenile game to be played more often, I'm afraid, will be a secret one to see how many unfortunate meteorologists and meteorology-wanabes stand in front of their maps filled with penal graphics versus weather patterns. This is necessary for human survival, via comedic relief, of course.

The first winner for 2012 goes to KJRH, Tulsa, Oklahoma weatherman Taft Price, who walked right into the deadly "Hurricane Weather Dong" trap, when he was discussing Tropical Storm Isaac, above. Discovery credit to Patrick.

Taft joins the Hall of Weather Map Shame occupied by these gentlemen.

Our well wishes for safety and health to all in the path of Hurricane Isaac
